A full map of every service Reverie offers, in one place: what's included with each, and what's available as an optional extra. Every path starts with a free exploratory call: a short, no-pressure conversation with no obligation to continue.
Most support is billed by the hour: €40 an hour at our introductory rate, unless otherwise stated.
Most of our support is available online, by video or phone, wherever you live in the world, including the UK. Bedside support and community events take place in person in Madeira.
Best for: anyone who wants to ask a few questions first. Twenty minutes.
More about living with mortality
Best for: anyone who wants to process thoughts or feelings about their own death, whether it is close or not. Book one session or several, at the hourly rate.
Group sessions. Coming soon.
A six-day immersive retreat in Madeira. Coming 2028.
Best for: the months after a death. Six sessions across a year, with check-ins at one week, one, three, six and twelve months.
Best for: anyone who was present at the death and wants to talk through what they witnessed. Two one-hour sessions.
Your plan is put together from the phases below. You can start with one and add others as things change. More about planning and support.
Plan
Best for: turning what matters to you into a written plan. One and a half hours.
Prepare
Best for: getting your wishes and affairs in order, with or without a diagnosis.
Best for: dying at home or in a care setting, and the family arranging it.
Best for: the conversations that are hard to start.
Each plan states its own estimate of hours for every phase, so you know what to expect before you begin.
Pass
When death is expected within weeks, three kinds of support are available, each with its own price. On-call support means you can reach us by phone at any hour. Vigil & Bedside Support is someone in the room. Death and the first 72 hours covers the day itself and the days after. Choose any or all of them.
Best for: families who want someone to call at any hour once the final weeks begin. By phone, with visits in Madeira booked separately. Charged by the week.
Best for: dedicated bedside presence in the final days. Booked by the half day (4 hours), full day (8 hours) or overnight (10 hours).
Best for: families who want someone with them through the first hours and days after a death. One fixed fee, covering up to 12 hours, then the hourly rate.
Best for: families in the weeks after a death, with the paperwork and who to tell, in Portugal or elsewhere.

Death Café attendance is free, with optional donations. Join the Madeira Death Café WhatsApp group, facilitated by Reverie's Leila. Special events and local signposting are in development. In person.
Romeow, an experienced therapy cat, can accompany Leila to visits if you would like. In person in Madeira.
All prices are in euros. These introductory rates apply to our first clients. Costs that are not Reverie's, such as the funeral director, a lawyer, a nurse or a translator, are passed on at cost.
20 minutes, no pressure, no obligation to book anything further. Pick a time that works for you.
A death doula (also called an end-of-life doula) is a trained, non-medical companion for people approaching death and the people around them. We offer emotional, spiritual and practical support: planning, presence, legacy work, and guidance after a death.
Hospice and nursing teams provide medical care. We don't. We work alongside your clinicians, with your permission, and can often spend more time with you than a clinical team can.
No. Reverie offers non-medical support only. Anything clinical is referred to the right clinician, and we help you find the right lawyer, notary or accountant. We do not act as your legal representative or file anything on your behalf.
Whenever it feels right: soon after a diagnosis, when you'd like to plan ahead, in the final weeks, or after a death. You don't need a diagnosis to begin.
Online or by phone anywhere in the world, and in person anywhere on Madeira, whether at home, in hospital, a care home or a hospice. Our services are in English.
